                                                           Consequences
I believe in consequences. Some believe consequences means that it’s the end of the world, but it helps us learn from the mistakes. In life, everyone has been scolded because of bad behaviors. Well, bad behaviors can go non-stop without consequences, and that has almost happened to me before.  I highly regretted what I had done when I met the consequences.
It was a normal day in my 4th grade class and something caught my ears. Pokemon cards were the thing back then. Someone in my class was talking about his collection, and then jealousy hit me hard. This is the start of my regretful experience. My brain suggested that I should steal the Pokemon cards. The plan was to act like I was going to the restroom but instead I went for the kid’s backpack which had the goodies. I snatched it out of the backpack and tossed it into my own. I thought I achieved something amazing, but I felt the consequences coming at me slowly.
That wasn’t the end. It was a few days after I stole the cards from the backpack. In my mind, I already thought that I easily got away from it, but unfortunately no. I’ve been sent out to the halls, and the teacher stood right in front of me glaring into my eyes like she wanted to hurt me. She exposed me that I stole the cards from the kid. I felt the pain inside my heart. She never told me how she knew, but told me to give it back to him the following day.  Me being a 4th grader had the tears coming out like waterfalls. I regret doing such evil.
Looking at my past self, I still regret stealing a child’s valuable collection. If I was never caught stealing, I would’ve just kept on stealing and stealing. Thankfully, my amazing 4th grader stopped me and my evil act stopped.
I believe consequences is a key part of life because you can learn from it and progress on your future.
