Getting to Class Right when the Bell Rings - Ritvik Katla

Getting on time to my classes has been a struggle for me. My awareness of the time is terrible. You can literally put a watch in front of my face and I wouldn’t know what time it is. Sometimes I’m late because of my teachers. One of my teachers has always continued the lesson after the bell rings and then tells us what our homework is after the lesson. Teachers can talk for a trillion years. It's not just that one teacher who does it because all teachers do it once in a while. Some teachers can literally talk for hours about one small subject and forget about the time. Teachers are like Fidel Castro (gave the longest speech).

We middle schoolers all know how it feels when the music stops and you realize it is almost impossible to get to your class on time, I might know it a little better because I'm always late to my classes. Especially in math because she opens doors late and tells us what we need to have for class. Then I have to get stressed because I have to go back to my locker to what I need. I can’t go a single day without getting late to a class. Luckily, most teachers aren’t in the classroom to see me be late.

It is always extremely stressful when you're running when there a few seconds late. Then a teacher appears out of nowhere and you walk until she is gone and you start running again. Now you can see the classroom, but you don’t know how many seconds are left. You go a little faster. Your face and your hands get sweaty. Everything around you seems to freeze. It’s just you and the classroom and then you make it to the door. You take a step in the classroom and the bell rings. All the stress and tension seem to fly away and you take a deep breath that feels amazing.

AWESOME!
